Thanks Joel! I can confirm that the version you sent me removed the MissingReferenceExceptions.

I am still however unable to untick "Auto Add Manager to Scene" & "Auto Update References" or open the "Advanced Runtime Settings" in the settings window. That said, these don't really bother me (at least at the moment) as I haven't had the need to change them. But here's the error if you want to take a look:

I'm not getting this at my end. Could you send me a very basic project which replicates it?

Note you can also change settings by going to the ES3DefaultSettings prefab in Assets/Plugins/Easy Save 3/Resources/ES3/, and changing the settings on the ES3DefaultSettings component attached to that.

If someone is having these problems, updating Unity to 2019.1.8f1 fixed them for me at least.

I am getting this issue with the newest version of ES3 from the UAS. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling many times. Will use the prefab fix noted above.

Edit: i am on 2018.3.5f1

Hi there,

As mentioned by the poster above, this is a bug in Unity 2018. Updating Unity should fix the issue.

I am still having this error using Unity 2019.3.0f5. Attached is a video in an empty scene showing that I can not do anything on the settings screen because it seems to be stuck in a loading loop. Notice how my mouse spasms when the settings panel is open. I'm using the latest version of EasySave and Unity.

I'm trying to set the encryption settings but this bug is preventing me from doing so.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Edit:

Seems to be this line in the SettingsWindow.cs file causing the problem:

PrefabUtility.SavePrefabAsset(defaultSettingsGo);
Found it simpler to just edit the es3 default settings prefab. Seems to be a simple workaraound for anyone that sees this.

Thinking the underlying issue is with Unity's new prefab workflow, where saving a prefab is not as simple as it once was.

Hi there,

Please could you send me a project which replicates this? It sounds like it's failing to load the default settings, but I've not been able to replicate this at my end and have no reports of this.
