ES3 settings keep reverting to default

Post by Schneider21 »

I just noticed the beta option for ES3 tonight and gave it a shot. The good news is that it seems to have resolved that nasty old build error I was running into from before. The bad news is that the content inside the Settings window seems to keep reverting back to default, which includes dropping the automatic manager back into the scene each time. This also makes my editor run VERY sluggishly (deleting the manager returns things to normal... until the settings revert again).

Any idea what could be causing this?

Edit: This may have had something to do with leftover settings from ES2 still hanging around. I deleted everything ES2-related I could find and that seems to have resolved the issue.

Hi there,

The issue regarding settings not saving, and the performance drop caused by the Easy Save 3 Manager will be fixed in the next update.

We're hoping to submit this to the Asset Store for approval today.

All the best,
Joel

I'm also having this issue and I am using version 2.8.2 from Aug 14, 2017.

Is there any ETA on when this will be fixed? Really excited to start using ES3.

Hi there,

It looks like the fix to another bug reintroduced the Default Settings bug.

We'll get this fixed in the next update and make it available on the Asset Store asap.

In the meantime you can adjust the default settings directly by modifying the values in the ES3 Default Settings script attached to the ES3 Default Settings prefab in Assets/Plugins/Easy Save 3/Resources/ES3/.

All the best,
Joel
