Collectables

Hello, I'm sorry if this question has been asked to death but I wanted to know if the easy save asset would be good for a game with a large number of collectables per level? I'm having trouble making a save system myself and really don't want to put $69 down on an asset I won't be able to use. Again, sorry if you're sick of answering this question, just couldn't find a direct answer when I looked.

Hi there,

This is possible, but how you go about it depends on how your collectibles are programmed. For example, do you turn off the active state when they’re collected, or do you destroy them?

I was destroying them. Would it be easier to just disable them?

Find attached a script which persists the destroyed state of any GameObjects it's attached to.
